Cookie policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
Sunhail uses only strictly necessary cookies — the kind the service cannot work without. There are no advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookies anywhere, which is why you won't find a cookie banner here: there's nothing to consent to.
The complete list
| Name | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
ss_staff | Keeps a staff member signed in to the boards and admin. Signed, HttpOnly, never readable by page scripts. | Session-length; cleared on sign-out |
ss_guest | Remembers that a guest confirmed their room and surname, so they don't retype it for every order. Signed and HttpOnly. | Expires the same day |
Local storage on your device
A few preferences are kept in your browser's own storage and never sent anywhere: language choice (ss_lang), the bar tablet's sound and station settings (ss_sound, ss_station), and your in-progress cart for the spot you scanned. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Third parties
No advertising pixels, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics scripts. The guest ordering page does send Sunhail a small set of first-party operational step counts — menu viewed, cart started, checkout opened, and order placed — without setting or using an analytics cookie and without any guest, IP, or device identifier. They are used only to help the hotel understand its ordering flow and are deleted after 90 days. If a guest opts in to order notifications, their browser's push service is used to deliver them — that's a feature they switch on, not a cookie.
